Why are there different sale types and duplicated property history information? – CoreLogic Property Research

The sale information received by CoreLogic reflects the different ways a property can be transacted between buyers and sellers. Sometimes there may be discrepancies or overlapping information that may lead to multiple records for a sale or conflicting information. Here are some examples:

Incorrect sale type

If a property sold via Private Treaty is displayed as sold via Auction, you may submit a data update and request for this information to be rectified.

Note that a Normal Sale and a Private Treaty sale are the same and do not denote incorrect sale type information.

Multiple similar records in the property history timeline

CoreLogic receives information from multiple sources which may lead to multiple records with the same information (same agent, price, etc) being displayed on a property's history.

Auction information is displayed on a private treaty sale

In this instance, a property may have gone to auction and has subsequently passed in. As such, any auction-related information that we have received, such as the auction date, will be displayed against the property record.
