- Locate the contact in your active list and click the Skip (or Don't Send) button on their contact card.

- Skip Duration: When you skip a contact, the contact will be excluded for the set period of time and will be included in the pool of contacts again when the period ends. Learn more about skipping a contact forever
- Places to skip: Choose whether you are excluding the contact only from this call list, all call lists or all lists within RiTA.

For whom: You can also specify whether this exclusion applies only to yourself or another team member.
- Click Confirm
CRM Integration: Choosing "Forever" does not change the contact’s status or your access permissions in your CRM.
Ownership Restriction: If you are the sole owner of a contact, you cannot skip them "Forever." If you want to skip forever, consider reassigning or archiving the contact.
Team Visibility: The contact may still appear in lists assigned to you by another RiTA user, as "Forever" preferences are user-specific and applicable only to lists that you have created.
If you identify a contact that you do not wish to engage with, you can "skip" them to remove them from your current list. By skipping over contacts individually, you can work through your list without permanently removing the contact from your database.
You can skip a contact at any time while reviewing a call list or an automation.

Skipping a contact forever
Skipping a contact "Forever" is a RiTA-only preference and does not sync back to your CRM. If a contact is no longer valid (e.g., a disconnected number) and you do not want this contact to be included in RiTA, you should archive the contact in your CRM.
