- Give your template a descriptive name (e.g., "John's Seller Template" or "Smith Team Call-back Template").
- Choose who can access this template. If you want to provide all users access, select Anyone. By default, access will be given to the template creator.
- Decide who has access to edit this template in future.
- Connected: Enter a Call Note template for when you've connected with your client.
- No Answer:Set a default note for when your client doesn't answer.
- Voicemail: Set a default note for when you've left a voicemail.
Action Templates is a feature that helps you save time by letting you add notes and comments quickly after calls. It also allows you to set up automated SMS conversations and emails. This guide will walk you through the following:

Creating a new template
Click on Action Templates to load the Manage Templates page where you will see all the templates that are currently available to you.

You can either create a new template from scratch or duplicate an existing template and edit accordingly. Duplicating a template is an easy way to ensure relevant Merge Fields are included in your new template.
To create a new template, click on the + NEW TEMPLATE button.

Complete the Template Details section:

Next, in the Settings section, select the types of topics this template will be suggested for. Do not select any topic if you want this template to be available for all topics.

Finally, select which communication channel or content you want to use this template for. If you are selecting more than one type of channel, make sure you customise each one and use the appropriate merge fields for the content. Learn more about Merge Fields in this article.

Duplicating a template
To duplicate an existing template, click on the three dots menu on the template you want to use and select Duplicate. Then edit the Template Details, Settings and Template Content as you would a new template. Learn how to edit a template.
