Using the search feature may help you locate item descriptions in Cordell databases faster. The search feature uses automatic recognition on the text entered and will return a list of components or recipes from categories or headings that contain the text you have entered.
Note that Cordell does not use supplier descriptions or actual product names within item descriptions in any database. Item descriptions utilise generic terminology and recipe titles are usually descriptive of the activity taking place.
How to search for items in a database
Start typing the name of the item you are looking for in the search box. As you type, you will see matching items on the left menu panel. The more characters you type, the more targeted your search results would be.
For example, you may get 50 matching items for the term ‘garage’ but only 20 matching items if you type ‘double garage’.

How to search through an imported supplier list
Our databases are supported by most suppliers and you may import some of your active manufacturing supply price lists to create a personalised database.
If you have previously imported a supplier list, select the ‘My Supplier List’ tab then type in the item you are looking for in the search box.
