System databases include a list of standard construction trade categories that are then broken down to group headings, these are a list of the activities required on a project, and under these headings are lists of individual components and recipes (unit rates), these (recipes) include labour, material, plant hire, and subcontract fee and all components or recipes exclude any constructors margin and exclude GST.
Cordell platinum takes you to a new level by opening the recipes in any database. Every care is taken to ensure the accuracy of the information in the Cordell range of databases but because you are estimating the cost of construction responsibility ultimately lies upon yourself, before and after adding any recipe to any estimate, you see the ingredients that make up that recipe, you decide to either choose a different recipe or make separate allowances by adding extra components or even deduct components so you control the accuracy of cost estimating.
Each costing database is set out into specific structures designed to give you total management of the information you provide in quotation estimates and feasibility estimates.
There are four main categories of databases:
Detailed databases are detailed estimating databases that include the labour required to fix items into position, and provide for all material costs including appropriate allowances for waste and disposal and any plant hire costs involved for every activity. There are literally thousands of items and we continually update our data as prices change. And because prices vary according to location, the detailed estimating database reflects this, with prices that are accurate for each specific state. We’ve made it easy to get that comprehensive in-situ price by including the materials, labour, and accessories to install them with our Cordell ‘recipes’. There are thousands of them, covering many of the install unit recipe rates, a complete combo of unit rates, and standard elements of residential, commercial, and industrial construction.
