Sometimes, things just don't work out with a contact, or a contact you may have access to but don't wish to engage with immediately may show up in a RiTA list.
So, rather than leave a list incomplete, you can now skip a contact in the list you're working on, or let RiTA know you don't wish to see them again in your Lists.
How Do I Skip a Contact in a RiTA list?
1. As you are reviewing a list you can click on the skip button directly on the contact which will let you skip the contact.
2. RiTA will ask you to confirm that you wish to skip the contact in this list only. You can choose to skip the contact for just this list, for a set period of days, or forever. Once you have made your choice and you are sure, select Confirm.
Please note: You cannot skip a contact Forever if you are the sole owner of this contact. You will need to archive it if it is no longer a valid contact, in order to not see it again.
3. The contact will now be removed from your current list. This contact will be put back into the pool of your available contacts, so if the contact is relevant for other lists, RiTA will show them again.
What Does Skipping 'Forever' Do?
If you do not wish to see the contact again in RiTA, you can let RiTA know by selecting the Forever when skipping the contact.
When you choose this option, RiTA will remember your preference and not show the contact in any lists you create from now on. This is purely a RiTA-only preference; no Updates regarding access to the contact will be pushed back to the CRM.
If you wish to remove the contact completely you are best to Archive them.
Note: The contact can appear in lists assigned to you from another RiTA user, however.
If you would like more information, or have mistakenly selected to never see the contact again, please contact support via the in-app live chat, or email us using the details below
Skipping in Automations Review Lists
Skipping in SMS Automation review lists works slightly differently to skipping in normal call lists. As these review lists can be reviewed by any Admin on the account, it is important to note that skips are only checked against the reviewer of the automation.
Therefore if you are skipping contacts in another agent's review list, those skipped contacts will only be removed in that list today and may appear in the review list tomorrow.
To find out who is the main reviewer of the automation, just go into the Automation menu and click edit on the automation. You will see the List reviewer similar to below. RiTA will create the review list each morning by checking skips against this List Reviewer.
An example of skipping in an automation list:
You have two agents, Sam and John.
John is the List Reviewer assignee of the automation and usually reviews the lists each morning. But John is off sick so Sam has taken over reviewing his automations for the day. If you have Sam reviewing the automation and skipping contacts, but John is the reviewer, RiTA won't know that those contacts have been skipped, as the skips are user specific.
So when RiTA creates a list the next day, she will search the contacts to see if John has skipped any of them before she creates the list. This can cause those contacts that were skipped by Sam, to appear back in John's list the next day.
