Searching for companies within Cordell Connect may be required for multiple purposes.
You can search for companies to identify industry contacts, expand your network or check on your competition. Probably, the most useful purpose is to access projects details for specific companies.
Just like with Project Search, you have the ability to save your regular company searches for future use.
To find your way to the company search, use the menu across the top of the page, select Company and then Search Companies from the drop down menu.

The Search companies page will display options for
- Company ID - Internal Cordell Connect company ID.
- Name - Company or Trading name
- ABN - Registered ABN
- Phone - Main Company number
- Fax - Company fax number
- Roles - Company Classification
- Location - Search by street/suburb, postcode or council areas.
All above mentioned fields will use partial matching when searching, to return the list of companies. You may enter multiple keywords separated by comma's or spaces to expand your search, or within brackets to narrow your search.
Roles may be individually selected or multi selected by holding down the CTRL button on the keyboard and left clicking with the mouse. The roles displayed in CAPITALS allows quick group selection of the similar role types displayed below.
Multiple locations may be included in your search, select if you wish to search by state, postcode or council area. Keep the localities targeted to reduce the volume of possible results.

At the bottom of the page, choose to
- Execute your company search immediately
- Run a Cross search to find a list of companies associated with projects of your interest
- Save your search for quick future search
- Search through companies you have previously deleted from view
- Reset your search criteria
The current search structure in the example above will return companies that are located in NSW, are a developer and have "wind" in the company name. Results provided below.

Click the company name link to load a company page. Identify the unique company ID in the top left of the page, you may return to your company search results using the company list button on the right.
The classification the company has received for their project work is displayed in the middle of the page and all projects the company is associated to is listed at the bottom of the page.
Regardless of your Cordell Connect data profile, all currently available projects for that Company will be displayed. However, you will be only able to view projects details matching your data profile.

Saving your Company Search
If you have a need to re-run a company search in the future, Whilst on the company search page, click Save Search to name and save your search criteria. Use the Green bar at the top of the page to select and run your saved company search from the drop down menu.

Viewing Your Saved Company Searches
To view a list of all saved company searches you have in place you can quickly and easily do so via the Company menu and choosing My Saved Searches From the drop down menu.
You may select a search and Delete it in this section as well.

Making a company active.
As you can make projects of interest active in Cordell Connect, you can also make companies active too. This means that companies you frequently deal with or those you want to monitor are flagged and are easily accessible at any time through the My Active Companies list.
Note: Activating companies becomes particularly useful when using the cross search function.
Making a company active can be done directly from a set of search results or on the project detail page.
Search Results - Select companies using the tick box on the left. Click the Make Active button in the middle of the page
Company Profile page - Click the Make Active button on the top right.

Viewing Active Companies.
To view the companies you have made active you use the menu across the top of the page, select Company and then My active companies from the drop down menu. The alternative method is to use the tracking field on the company search page, select Active to YES to search through your active companies.
