If you’re having trouble loading RP Professional or any of its pages, the most common reasons may relate to your web browser. Here’s how to check your browser to enjoy smooth navigation in RP Professional.
Step 1. Use a supported browser
For the best RP Professional experience, use one of the following supported browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge
- Apple Safari.
Step 2. Update your browser
To get the latest version of your browser, follow the instructions below for whichever browser you’re using:
Google Chrome
Click the Menu bar (three dots at the top right corner of the page). From the drop-down menu, Click Help then About Google Chrome to open the Settings tab.

If your version of Chrome is out of date, it will automatically update. Once the update is complete, click Relaunch. If your version is already up to date, close the Settings tab.

Apple Safari
There are two options for updating Safari:
- Update your macOS. Go to the Updates section of the App Store to check if there’s an update available. Click Update Now or Update to start the update for your Safari browser and other software.
- Update Safari only. Go to the Updates section of the App Store. In the Software Updates section, click More. This will take you to the Updates page for individual apps, where you can select Safari and click Update.

Step 3. Clear the browser's history, cookies and cache
If you still experience errors or loading issues with RP Professional after updating your browser, there may be issues linked to your search history or cache.
Web browsers use their search history or cache to speed up general web browsing. For instance, if you use RP Professional regularly, your browser will create a cache and use your browsing data to load the website faster.
However, when a website is updated, browser histories and caches don’t support the browser to load the updated version. This can cause loading issues. To resolve them, you’ll need to clear your browser history, cache and cookies. This won’t affect any:
- saved passwords
- bookmarks or favourites
- plugins or extensions.
For all browsers, press the:
- CTRL + SHIFT + DELETE keys on a PC (Microsoft Windows)
- COMMAND + SHIFT + DELETE keys on a Mac (Apple).
This will open a browsing history pop-up window with a timeframe options for how much history you want to clear. It’s best to clear all data – see below for how to do this in different browsers.
Google Chrome
In Time Range, select All Time from the drop-down menu. Check all boxes and click Clear data.

Mozilla Firefox
In Time Range to Clear, select Everything from the drop-down menu. Ensure that the checkboxes are ticked for Browsing & Download History, Cookies and Cache then click OK.

Microsoft Edge
In Time Range, select All Time from the drop-down menu. Ensure the checkboxes are ticked for Browsing history, Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Clear now.

Apple Safari
Click History at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu, click Clear History. A prompt will appear. Select all history from the drop-down menu then click Clear History.

Clearing your browsing data will log you out of the RP Professional platform. You can then log in again to see if the issue has been resolved.
Step 4. Reset your browser
If the issue isn’t resolved by updating your browser and clearing your browsing history, cookies and cache, the final option is to reset your browser.
A browser reset will make the browser behave as if it’s just been installed for the first time, but it won’t affect any of your saved passwords, bookmarks or favourites.
However, it will uninstall any website plugins or extensions, cookies and caches. When you revisit a site that needs a plugin, it will prompt you to reinstall it.
Google Chrome
Click the Menu bar (three dots at the top right corner of the page). Click Settings.

Scroll to the very bottom of the Settings page and click Advanced to expand the options.

Click the Safari tab on the top of the page, then select Preferences from the drop-down menu. When the Preferences panel open, click Extensions on the top right.
Untick the extensions in the panel on the left to disable them, or click Uninstall on the individual extensions to reset Safari.
